A Business Activity Statement (BAS) is a tax reporting obligation to the ATO for businesses. A BAS includes GST, PAYG instalments, PAYG withholding tax, and other tax commitments. Australian registered businesses must lodge their BAS accurately, and by the due date.   Overall, your BAS is the official statement for reporting the amount of GST that your business is obligated to pay to the ATO.
